Been having a play with OBS the last couple of days, I can get Skype working via a window, (I've not figured the sound out yet, but I will) but my recordings are really choppy and out of sync. I'm using a 2010 MacBook Pro (and also tried on an 2009 iMac 27") and I know it's kinda old, but I was hoping it'd be good enough to still work.
Am I totally dreaming thinking I can get this to work smoothly on these machines? Or is there a way I can mess with the settings and get it to work with minimising everything as much as possible? I've tried to record at the moment but not broadcast. Will it maybe be better if I broadcast?
The set up is going to be really simple, webcam on the presenter, have a skype call to bounce off, have a full-screen overlay and I'd love a twitter or YouTube comment feed too, but I think I'm pushing it at the moment.
Abandon hope and upgrade my shit? Or push on and get it working?
