Question / Help OBS MP degrading image and text quality when streaming to twitch(answered)

is there a reason why when i turn on my stream with OBS MP my overlay and text quality looks like this

and then on the actual OBS program it looks like

obs beta never does this?

It apparently has to do with the color? I used gimp to change the color using colorize setting and now everything is clear? thats very interesting.

4:2:0 chroma subsampling does this, but you can't change that if you're streaming. It's especially apparent on red colors.

thanks for the info. I just changed all the reds to a different color and everything is good now :)

Not to resurrect a really old thread - but this still seems to be an issue. Unless there's a fix / setting tweak that is now in OBS Studio - anyone know?

Because streaming is still done in 4:2:0. That's not something OBS can fix, it's how RTMP streaming works.
