Question / Help OBS is not recognizing Radeon graphics card

Hello I am unable to record in game capture mode because OBS does not recognize my graphics card. I have an AMD Radeon HD 7970M graphics that I am running on an Alienware M17x laptop. When I open video settings the option for graphics cards is my intel graphics card, I am not the best with computers but I have tried multiple things to fix this problem including:

Updated drivers
manually enabled high performance for OBS on the AMD catalyst control
I have uninstalled and re-installed OBS

This is due to AMD's drivers, Jim has tried everything he can think of to get these sorts of AMD laptops working properly with OBS. The only way to reliably capture games on these AMD switchable graphics laptops is to use Window Capture with Compatibility Mode checked.
