Question / Help NVENC error for laptop

"If you get an error when trying to use the NVENC encoder and your drivers are already up to date, your GPU very likely does not support NVENC."

I think this might be the issue with my laptop but found nothing on the help page that tells me how to fix said error. Am I out of luck? Is there something I can do to fix this?

this was at the bottom of my last log file, which is what lead me to believe this was my issue.

Most likely the mobile graphics chip your laptop has doesn't support NVEnc. Less likely you're using a very outdated driver.

Which is basically what the error message told you. If you want us to be able to tell you more than that, you'll really have to post more about your computer. DXDiag, OBS logs, specs sheet, screenshots?
