Question / Help New Processor difficulty recording *A10-7870K* APU

I recently bought an APU a10-7870K processor (4 cores @ 3.9 ghz 12 compute cores 4C+8G)
I'm not using the intergrated graphics, i am using a Amd 6950 graphics card

Specs:
Processor: a10-7870K
G card: AMD 6950
RAM: ddr3 8gb (2x 4gb)
64 bit operating system, 64x-based processor
Motherboard: fm2+ extreme 6+ (Bios 3.90)

I had trouble myself with OBS, and i changed the settings as it said on this post.

My initial problem was,
When i wasn't recording on Minecraft i would get an average of 200-300 fps
When i previewed the stream it was going right down to 15fps and staying between 15-20.

I changed my settings in correspondence to this post, and i had no success with this problem being fixed. I would like to do local recording at 720p and at least 30fps.

I will upload a log of my most recent recording in hopes that you can look over it and see if you can notice anything that would be causing this error. My system specs are ^ there.

PS: when I installed my new processor, i kept getting crashes because of a hand written code, in result i updated my Bios to 3.90 and the crashes stopped.

I am using the version of OBS that this link (https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-branch-with-amd-vce-support.13996/) provided

I really do wish to resolve this issue ASAP

Thanks.

UPDATE: I just un installed and re installed clearing all user settings and everything and the problem still persists.

Problem:

I play minecraft @ 200-300 fps
when i record it goes down to 15-20 and stays.

Log is attatched up there ^

I assume it is a software issue
It may be my new processor.

19:30:35: Index 0: Device ID: 6719 [AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series]
19:30:35: Skipping non-AMD vendor: 1414
19:30:35: No adapter nr 2. End enumeration.

19:30:35: AMFCreateComponent(encoder) failed. AMF_ENCODER_NOT_PRESENT
19:30:35: Couldn't initialize encoder

Looks like it's missing some drivers; really don't tend to deal with the VCE offshoot much, so there may not be too many around that can offer information about using it.

My advice? Use the main non-VCE branch, and follow the high-quality local recordings guide if you aren't livestreaming:
https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.12600/

That said, AMD APUs are notoriously anemic, and Windows 10 is known to have some teething problems; from my experience, pretty nasty and inexplicable ones sometimes.

What drivers do i need?

I heard that i shouldn't need drivers for my APU if im not using intergrated?

I'll try that one again :/

I tried the non-VCE branch high quality local recordings link and i am still having the same FPS trouble.

I get around 300 when not recording
When i turn recording on i get 15

Post a new log file from at least a 5 minute recording where you aren't using the VCE build and are following the High Quality Local Recordings guide.

You only recorded for 40 seconds, not 5 minutes like I asked. I can't tell you anything about it because its not a statistically valid sample size. Also, when you do the 5 minute or longer test, make sure you're recording the highest action gameplay your game has to offer.

16:18:55: Total frames encoded: 11169, total frames duplicated: 2 (0.02%)
16:18:55: Total frames rendered: 11178, number of late frames: 2 (0.02%) (it's okay for some frames to be late)

From that log file, OBS is not having any problems at all. Maybe its using all the CPU and not leaving any cycles for your game? Try setting this: Settings > Advanced > General > Process Priority Class, to Idle.

Nope. I'm still getting the exact same problem as before.

Is there anything else that may be causing the problem?

Well you need to understand that doing x264 encoding takes up a lot of CPU. Things are going to run slower when you're recording and gaming at the same time on the same CPU than when you're just gaming on the CPU. There's no getting around that. If OBS is on Idle and UltraFast preset and its still taking up too much CPU and leaving not enough for your game, there's only one more trick I know of:

Go to Settings > Advanced > Video > Custom x264 Encoder Settings, and make sure the box is checked. Add a line that says "threads=x" where x is a number between 1 and 6. By default x264 uses 6 threads on your CPU, so set it to 5, and see if its better. If not, set it to 4, and keep setting it lower until its better. Also check that by using fewer threads you didn't screw over OBS's video quality, because that can happen by messing with this setting, particularly with increased total frames duplicated shown in the logs and seen as hitches in the video file.

I understand that,

My old CPU was 2 cored running at 3.50GHZ, so this one should work like a breeze

I'll try that now

Changing the "threads=x" parameter didn't do a thing to the performance, mind you when i'm recording i only get around 60%-75% cpu usage, so it also may not be that

as I said, it may not be the cpu, I really do think it's something to do with OBS.
