Question / Help Need a see through "box" that blurs portion of my stream

Hello,

This is what I currently have - a black rectangle that blocks part of my screen where in-game server messages pop up. Reason for hiding the messages is to prevent stream sniping.

My problem is that having a black rectangle is distracting, and diminishes immersion.

I am trying to create a see through box, that is translucent - in other words, imagine a shower glass that you can see through, but cant make out details, sort of a "smoked glass" effect.

I installed the latest plug in that allows to blur things - but it seems to allow it only on static images, which would not work for me.

Is there a way to accomplish this? Sounds fairly simple, but then again - I am no programmer and have no idea, maybe its completely impossible? Been trying to do this for about two weeks now and Im driving myself nuts, please help!

I am attaching an image of what I mean to better explain my goal.

@GamerHD Thank you for stepping up and sharing your thoughts. I tried that after you suggested it, and unless I did something wrong (I dont have photoshop so I downloaded a png from the web, attached) the only thing that this accomplishes is blurs the image itself, not the game behind it. So its kind of a success!

My friend suggested that perhaps I should reach out to OBS scripter forums ... could someone point me into the right direction perhaps? Or do we have scripters on this forum? Please help!
