Monitoring Audio on Fluid Audio Interface

Hi . . .

We have a Fluid SRI-2 Audio Interface which collects audio from our sound mixer and sends it to OBS for streaming and recording.

This device has a headphone jack, switchable between "input" and "DAW". When the device is set to "input", I hear my sound signal just fine, but, of course, the interface is sampling the signal prior to going to the computer.

But, when I turn the knob to "DAW" which is supposed to sample the output, I get nothing.

This is true even though the interface is listed as the monitoring device, and the input is set to "Output and Monitor".

The interface is connected to the computer using a USB 2.0 port, as the Fluid FAQs indicated a problem with certain USB 3.0 manufacturers.

When I connect a set of headphones to the computer, and set the monitoring device as those headphones, I get a signal just fine.

Question 1: Should I expect a return signal from the computer to the interface if the interface is set as the monitoring device?

Question 2: Should I just monitor the output signal from the computer itself, instead of trying to rely on the interface?

Thanks . . .
