Question / Help Monitor Capture Blurred

Hey, i use obs studio with the high local recording settings (only thing i changed is cbr i have it enabled because i think it looks better when i record games) from the guide here and it works fine for everything except the monitor capture. monitor capture just looks really blurred. (i want to capture my monitor, not any game with monitor capture) here is a log https://gist.github.com/f0ade5abd026f43532fc4906d68d82f7
does anybody now how to fix this?

Which display are you trying to capture, you have three connected to the machine according to the log:

output 3: pos={1920, 0}, size={1920, 1080}, attached=true
output 2: pos={3840, 308}, size={1360, 768}, attached=true
output 1: pos={0, 0}, size={1920, 1080}, attached=true

It doesn't actually.
It caps your bitrate far below what actually will give you the best picture quality.

Use simple output mode, indistinguishable quality, x264 low cpu encoder.

i know it sounds weird but without cbr i have the problem that when i record games and im on a loadscreen/black screen its fine but when the the game continues with high motion scenes directly after the load/blackscreen there are a blocks. and with cbr i have no blocks or pixels. i record 1080@60fps with the settings from this forum but i have enabled cbr. works perfect for games. and i already tried to capture my windows screen with cbr and preset slow or medium. same result. there is a consant quality so it wont get better. the screen is just blurred all the time. i will try the simple output mode.

But that caps your bitrate at 1000 kbps. because you have CBR enabled. The reason that guide says to set your bitrate to 1000 is that is the minimum, with no CBR the bitrate will change to reflect the data that you are trying to record. So with your settings everything you record is capped off at 1000kbps which is nowhere near enough for 1080p. Can you try disabling CBR and recording your display again to see if that resolves it. You only really need CBR for streaming.

i know what cbr is and i know the difference between cbr and vbr. but it is how i said i captured with cbr and for games it works better than without cbr. here is a example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6Pw_eDDS-M
i recorded this with the guide settings(1000 bitrate and 0 buffer) but with cbr and it looks great. (except bad youtube encoding, the raw video file was a lot better). unfortunalty in obs studio you dont see the bitrate while you recording so i tested it with obs classic. so i have obs with the same setting like in the guide but i leave cbr enabled. and obs classic shows me the bitrate is variable although i leave cbr enabled. the only difference i noticed is that you have a higher bitrate at black screens then without cbr. and how i said i tried with cbr and without cbr to make a monitor capture. its blurred. ill give you an example later.

some other thing is wrong i hope somebody has any other ideas.

If you're recording, you should be using simple output mode to automatically configure recording settings (with "recording quality" set to high or indistinguishable quality or something). Could you try that and let me know if you have any issues there?

EDIT: Ok firefox cant play the video but chrome does. also the video looks a little bit better in chrome than in vlc player. the other videos that firefox can play also looks a little bit better then in vlc. why the video quality looks so bad in vlc? i dont get this, i watched my tests in the windows media player and it looks great.. ok i think the problem is solved. it was vlc but why?
