Mirrorless/Dslr to PC LOW FPS

Hello there!
I'm facing an issue I really hope someone can help me.. Really appreciate it.

Used my DSLR Nikon D5600 as webcam through OBS. Great quality and 60fps.
Got the Nikon Z5 now and intended to do the same. The camera itself shows perfect results, but connected to OBS, its less than 30 fps in the recording. (Even the preview display)
No settings have been changed and the cable is more than fine too.
My PC specs are good enough with i7 etc.

DSLR D5600 - 60fps as intended.
Mirrorless Z5 - less than 30fps and lagging.

What do you guys think..?

Which also might to seem be fewer fps, could also be some kind of lag. Even though lag is being something different usually.
Hope you understand.

DSLRs are not meant to be used as webcams. The USB connection they provide generally is just for transferring pictures and video stored on the camera's SD card to the computer, like a thumbdrive.

SOME manufacturers have added rudimentary UVC support (or more commonly, bridged through proprietary client software) but this is almost always very low-quality due to the bandwidth constraints of USB 2.0 (I am not aware of any that use 3.0, as 2 is much cheaper). This will never give good quality results; you generally will need to use the camera's HDMI output into a capture device, such as the Elgato Camlink, to get non-crap results.

Thanks for the reply!
With the DSLR Nikon D5600 the results are perfect. (But got no AC adapter, so cant use it)
Only the Mirrorless right now seems to give weird fps on OBS, of which I assumed it is the OBS settings.
Many streamers/youtubers use DSLR/Mirrorless with good results.

Using the usb with nikon webcam ulitity might be an issue? Its type c btw.

I guarantee you, almost all of those youtubers and streamers are using a capture card, NOT the crappy USB interface.
