Hello anyone that happens to be reading this, and thank you for coming to help me. I'm not sure why, but whenever I stream or recording using OBS: it makes me microphone sound different compared to other programs I use. I use a RODE NT1 with a FocusRite Scarlet 2i2 Audio Interface, and its fine in Audacity, discord, and my camera application. But when I record, it just seems to sound vastly different. Can anyone help out?

Here's a link to a stream of mine to show you what it sounds like there:

And here's a link to an unedited recording I just made using my camera:

You may not be able to really hear the difference, but I can hear it and its been bugging me. And even though my microphone volume is at max on OBS, everything else sounds so much louder. Its not like that on other application. Thanks for any help!

I had this problem a while ago and fixed it in the dumbest way.

Basically you have to use the aux output at the back of your PC (so it registers as Realtek High Definition Audio) for your speaker/headphones (yes it really does matter) and then set Realtek High Definition Audio (in Playback settings, under sound settings in Windows) as the default Playback Device. It should work fine after you've done that.
