Question / Help Logitech Brio is delayed at 4k

Hi there,

Recently purchased the Logitech Brio. Looks and works great however in OBS? Any higher than 2k resolution causes a delay off approx 470m/s.
Connected into USB3 with latest drivers for everything and firmware for camera.

0 delay or issues at 1920x1080@60, 2560x1440@30 also fine. Soon as it goes to 3840x2160 or 4096x2160 it gets a nasty delay. Using custom settings and everything set as I believe it should be but issues beyond 2k res.

Is this a known issue?

This has been traced to accessing Brio using the older Direct Show method. At 4K30 there's a ton of added latency and dropped frames, even when using MJPEG encoding.

If you use the newer MMF approach to accessing the webcam this is not the case. I brought this to the attention of the vMix team, who implemented the new access method. Sadly, it will require dev effort in OBS as well.

Once using MMF, you can use NV12 encoding instead of MJPEG, and preserve some image quality.

Hi I am struggling with this same issue. I see here it has been reported in 2018 already. I still have the problem today. 2021. How do I solve it? Please help. Need to record for my Youtube channel and want to use Brio at 4K. If I record directly in the Brio software, there is no delay when editing in Premier Pro. But when recorded via OBS at 4K, there is a major delay in video and voice.

Solved it!!! Watch this video. Its a audio setting in OBS. Watch especially last section. I changed mine to 250 and perfect sync now. https://youtu.be/DZnkyq4kqkE
