Question / Help Local recording: settings for highest possible quality?

Hi guys,

I'm using OBS for a very specific purpose: recording my screen to make some videos. I am not streaming over the internet and, as such, am not limited by bandwidth constraints. Additionally, I'm not playing any high-end games, so my CPU is relatively 'available' for processing video input.

Specifically, I'm only capturing a 514x416 px region of my screen @ 60 fps

Overall, my question is: how can I achieve near-uncompressed (or literally uncompressed) video capture? I've already set the x264 CPU preset to the lowest (slow) and it's working fine; and the quality slider to maximum (10). However, I'm confused as to what bitrate I should put to capture the best quality. It seems like I could write any number there, especially since there's no bandwidth concern... any advice? Really appreciated :)
