...that OBS for the mac and Elgato are finally banging their heads together to come up with some software for us guys? Great news if true, saw it mentioned a few times on twitter

Not so much that Elgato and OBS are banging their heads together, more that OBS is waiting for Elgato to write a proper driver that OBS can use to read the Elgato.

From my understanding, @badgeroni, Elgato will be looking into providing Mac drivers for OBS only after they've released stream command for the Elgato software on Mac.

ahh ok, im not very technical with computers, what is 'stream command' mean buddy?

The Elgato software allows you to stream your gameplay directly to Twitch. At the moment, the PC version allows for overlays and webcams to be used as well. However, the Mac stream command is not complete and is still in beta testing. Hope that helps!
