Question / Help I need help with streaming on twitch

Alright so to start with I will show you what my operating system looks like.

I have the following:

an intel (R) Core (TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30GHz

8 GB of memory

64 bit operating system

no pen and touch

So, I can stream on twitch, but I run into problems while streaming. I will try to include as many specifics as I can, which may or may not make it easier to diagnose my problem. Please keep in mind if you reply to this post, I kind of need a step by step response to my problem. I'm good with my games, but I know next to nothing about computers.

The issue I run into is my stream drops frames all of the sudden, my bitrate turns red, then my stream disconnects and gives me a reconnect notice. As you can imagine, it's a bit infuriating for me to lose a stream and potential viewers. It's a pretty big issue when I'm a new streamer that's trying to get more viewers. It's also worth noting that I stream on WiFi and the problems I'm having didn't show up until I had been streaming for a week and a half.

To give you the full picture, I will include my OBS settings that are relevant, my last log file, and a couple of the errors I see when I hit the f12 key on my twitch page in case they are relevant (I can add the specific error messages after streaming if necessary). I will also include what I have done troubleshooting wise.

In the encoding settings I have the following settings

use CBR

enable CBR padding

use custom buffer size

quality balance of 5

max bit rate and buffer size are both set to 500

audio is AAC, 96, and 44.1kHz

In Broadcast Settings minimize network impact is unchecked, and I'm automatically saving streams and recording if the live stream stops

In Video

I'm using my intel (R) HD Graphics card

16:9

2.25 downscale

bilinear fastest

and 30fps

Audio and Hotkeys shouldn't matter

Under advanced

use multithreaded optimizations

process priority class high

scene buffering time 700 milliseconds

allow other modifiers on hotkeys

faster preset

encoding main

key frame intervals 2

use CFR

audio sync 2 milliseconds

bind to interface default

and latency turning factor is 20

Everything not mentioned in the above settings is turned off. So unless I'm missing something, the other settings are personal preference.

This is a copy of my last log file in bold

Possible slow server

The server you are streaming to (rtmp://live-gru.twitch.tv/app) took 844 ms to connect. This may mean your connection or the server is slow, or the server is far away from you. If you are using twitch.tv, you may want to try using JTVPing to find an optimal server.

Dropped frames detected

2.3% of your frames were dropped due to poor network conditions. Frames are dropped when data can not be sent fast enough to the server you have selected. This is caused by trying to stream at too high of a bitrate, or by the streaming server you selected not being able to accept the data at the rate you are sending.

Try switching servers, especially if you are using twitch.tv. As a test, you could also try streaming to a different provider to check whether the problem is on your end or not.

Note that some ISPs will temporarily increase your upload speed at the start of a transfer - if you only start to drop frames after 30 - 60 seconds, your ISP is likely doing this and you will need to use a lower bitrate.

Finally, if you are using a wireless connection, keep in mind that interference from other radio sources can cause your connection to stutter and drop frames. A wired connection is strongly recommended when streaming.

See
https://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8870 for more advice on how to fix dropped frames.

Connection stalls detected

Your connection is stalling while sending data. This can result in frame drops, stream freezes and disconnects. Try changing the server you are streaming to, or lowering your bitrate

Bad resolution / FPS / bitrate combination

The combination of settings you are using will likely lead to a low quality stream with artifacting and other problems. Consider either raising your bitrate or lowering your resolution / FPS (qval: 0.018)

As for my f12 errors, I receive one about the CORS program that I know nothing about, and one about a web socket not being connected.

So what I've tried and hasn't worked for me yet are the following things:

Finding a new WiFi channel to connect to. The one I am on is the best, and even during late night streams where most other electronic devices are turned off, I still have trouble keeping the stream up.

I hooked up a phone line from my WiFi router to my tower. I'm not sure if I need to alter my WiFi settings for a more stable connection, or if the phone line even helps at all.

My antivirus has exceptions for every single program I have open when I'm streaming.

I checked every single server that is possible to connect to. The most I found out was some don't allow me to connect at all, and some kick me off quicker than others.

I obviously lowered my bit rate and max buffer size to 500 each

OBS is set to a high priority in my task manager

I think my computer can handle a very fast preset or higher because of my core i3. But when I changed the preset; the very fast setting didn't seem to do anything and superfast wouldn't let me connect to a server at all for some reason.

I think the problem started presenting itself around the time I installed mIRC, but I can't remember for sure if it was before or right after.

I could probably add a ton of other things to the list, but I think anything else would probably be unnecessary. I'll just add that if you think you can help, I will give you any further information you may need to proceed (except for personal information).

Okay, so what is it about my CPU that is weak. Do I need to update some of my hardware, or do I just need a more powerful internet service? Oh yeah, and the part that is in bold is an exact copy of my log file.
