Question / Help How do I record incoming HDMI video with 12 bits of Y data?

It appears that OBS always records 8 bits per color channel (Y, Cr, Cb) using the available NV12, I420, etc settings for MP4 files. In my case I am receiving HDMI video that was set up within the transmitter to have 12 bits of Y and 12 bits of Cb/Cr (for anyone interested, it's the 24 bit data mapping table 17 for ID=1 style 3 in the ADV7513 programmer's guide).
So when I record with OBS am I always losing those extra 4 bits of color depth no matter what settings I choose? I can save with high kbps setting to retain spatial resolution, but is there a setting to retain more luma depth, or, how do I know what level of color depth I'm effectively ending up with? (I actually don't care about chroma since my data is grayscale to begin with, I'm zeroing out Cb/Cr inputs using the CSC equations within the transmitter).
Thanks.
