Question / Help Highlights during recording

Alright... I figured since i can't stream CS:GO in it's full power i decided to record my gameplay. I am yet to check what is the difference between x264 & Nvidia NVENC for myself but my main question is as follows V

There are many sites/programs that i can use to highlight a part of the stream where i did a sick 360 noscope but i couldn't find any for when i am gonna record. Are there even any ? I used to stream for about 2-3 hours and having to press a single button instead of going through the whole footage for a mere 10s. was bloody awesome!

Regards,

Way

P.S. I heard/saw that the ShadowPlay had something like that, but OBS has so much more to offer.

Correct. OBS Studio is the newest version of OBS. OBS Legacy is no longer being developed. I HIGHLY recommend going to OBS Studio. It has many more features.

By Legacy, you mean the so called *Classic* one right ?

Well i am really grateful to you for taking your time and posting the tool here. All i need to do is delete the Classic OBS & Download the Studio one. By the way is the layout the same as the classic one ?

Yes I mean Classic. Just go to your uninstall in windows, uninstall obs, and go to the download page for OBS studio and get the one with CLR Browser. It's basically the same, it's not to hard to figure out. If you have any trouble just go here: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/obs-studio-quickstart-guide.51681/

Good luck! :)

Just checked it, i am sure i'll get the basics in no time. Is there a difference in the CPU usage between those two ? As i stated i can stream CS:GO but those little spikes completely ruin my enjoyment of the game and i can't focus as it stutters etc.

Not that I have noticed. If anything, studio should take less.
