Question / Help Help With a Dedicated Streaming/Recording PC

Hi all, I'm newish to OBS. I've used it before but it was a while back.

Anyways I have my gaming system which consists of:
Intel I7 5820k
2 gtx 980tis
16gb of RAM

I figure the rest is irrelevant

the second pc is
FX 8350
r9 830
8gb of RAM

and the Cap card is an Elgato HD60

So my issue is I don't know what settings to use to get a quality recording. The only thing that wanted to not drop to a lower framerate was 720p30fps

anything higher would start to dip in FR or get the High CPU encoding warning.

If I understood right having a second pc should allow for much better recording coming in from a cap card. Or is the 8350 complete crap?

Hmm I definitely see your point here. My one problem game is The Division. I cannot record that whatsoever. That game is a problem child.

Out of curiosity how would a 6700K fare instead of the 8350? I can only assume much better?

For Realtime Encoding the 8350 is compareable to a Haswell i5 the i7 is on a completely different level but the i7 5820k is even further above.

You should post a Log and also describe your Problem a bit more in depth, do you also have ingame Performance decrease etc.

Need a log file from your streaming PC to really be able to say anything. Make sure it contains a log of at least five minutes of high action content.
