Question / Help Hello! I am having great quality with local recording, but I am having some issues with frame drops...

Here's my specs for the recording on OBS:
1920x1080 1080p 60 fps
NVENC CQP 14
recording by MP4
Using Display Capture (I know I know, it's garbage but that's because...)
I am using a Laptop that has two different graphics adapters (Intel HD Graphics 530 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960m)

The quality is great and just what I need, but I get some unwanted dips in frames that comes from unexpected stuff when playing my game.
For example: it keeps a solid 60 when I am in combat and it's flashy, but it dips in frames when at rest (I am assuming weather effects maybe?)
And this isn't because of a dip in my games FPS, it's at a solid 60.
These aren't major dips in frames mind you (probably lowers to 30 from what I can tell) but is there any way I can change OBS to make it more suitable for solid frames with around the same quality I have it at?
Also should I instead record with VLC rather MP4? I have tried both and I have found MP4 to be great in quality and VLC sorta lacks (using the same settings for both formats).
