Okay I've read all the posts but cant figure it out

when I play i stream from my laptop..after some kid posted "eco eco eco" in my chat I whiped up my other laptop to watch my stream and this:

stream works great but having echoing stuck in the stream not just my voice but the game actually repeating gun fire constantly even when the game is over (still echoing). So then I'm sitting there listening to gun fire while not playing.
-also I dont have my mic on "listen"
So I think Im done streaming until I get this figured out

When this happens, it's always one of the following:
1.) A misconfiguration in OBS (you have a device source set to "output to desktop" instead of "output to stream"), or
2.) A misconfiguration in windows (mic set to play back to 'listen'), or
3.) You have your stream or dashboard page open which is playing back your stream audio.

Go into your Camera's properties in OBS, and set the audio device to 'disable'.
Also, if the gunfire/sound keeps looping erratically for a significant period of time, you almost definitely have a copy of your stream open in a tab somewhere, or on your Dashboard, and un-muted. Need to either close that, Hide the preview, or mute the player.

Make sure your Desktop Audio device is set to the same device that the game is outputting to. Normally, this is whatever your default audio device is.
