Bug Report Direct3D 11 renderer creates stutters

EDIT 27/11/2015 : Switching from OBS-MP 32 to OBS-MP 64 solved the issue apparently. Direct3D or OpenGL don't have anything to do with this, as the stuttering appeared randomly (once out of 10 times it didn't appear after relaunching OBS MP 32), weird issue though.

__________

Hey guys,

I noticed the Direct3D 11 renderer caused stutters (one per second on average) on elements such as games or scolling text (for me).
However (for my webcam C920) there was no stutter, making it clear it was only on specific elements.

Switching the renderer to OpenGL fixed the issue on my end, but I was wondering if Direct3D 11 is usually better than OpenGL.

Is there any fix to this or does OpenGL do as good as Direct3D 11 is supposed to do ?

Cheers,

PS: Not sure if I should include this, but I have a GTX980 graphics card

Are your stutters the same as I have here? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dpD0ftaNW0
If so, I'm on the same boat, R9 380 here and Windows 10 here.
The OpenGL renderer causes me to drop frames like shit, can't stream with it :/ and my PS3Eye webcam doesn't have a 64bit driver so I can't use the 64bit OBS for it. (Even though I get them *even* with 64bit OBSMP)

Hi, no my issue was different. As I can see it, you're not actually dropping frames, since even when the image is partially glitching out everything still seems to be silky smooth. My issue was that the majority of my elements in an OBS MP scene would actually freeze for a half second, and do that every second or two.

I don't have any idea what could be causing this issue for you, sorry :s

Edit: just came across this thread that may (or may not) discuss your issue https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/stream-picture-dotted.37658/
