Question / Help Crashing Issue

I recently upgraded from my AMD FX 4100 to an AMD FX 8350 and while I am pleased with the results in streaming when it works right now it keeps crashing on me now. I never had an issue prior to upgrading but as of late if I run OBS on Medium encoder at 60 FPS it'll stream for around 30 mins my PC inevitably will crash on me. Originally the first time it blue screened and the other times it just straight up crashes and restarts.

I will give any info you need but I don't know what else to provide currently.

Can you post the OBS crash log?

Blue screens are usually caused by hardware or driver issues, not OBS itself. Live video encoding tends to put a lot of strain on systems, so if your computer usually is fine but suddenly starts blue screening when running OBS, then you might have some sort of hardware of driver instability that only manifests under heavy load.

It only Blue Screened the very first time it crashed. Everytime after my PC has just crashed and restarted I pulled my task manager to look at my CPU load while streaming and with my settings on the "Faster" setting I average around 60% load. I know that I should be able to stream on "Medium" setting in theory because I could do it on my FX 4100 CPU although my PC never crashed it did cause Dropped Frames.

I can't find the windows crash log but under my reliability manager all it says is that windows shutdown unexpectedly.

Sounds like you have hardware stability problems. Try memtest86+ / Prime95 / LinX.
