Question / Help Chat Log Mode

How does chat log mode work exactly?

I'm streaming to twitch. I place it on my screen, but nothing every happens when people type in my chat. It just stays as the default text. I even tried typing in a different word to see if maybe the default text had to be removed, but nothing pops up.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

"Chat log mode" is in case you have a text file that is getting updated with a chat log from something like an IRC client.

If you want to show your Twitch chat on screen, then either set up an IRC client to save its log to a text file, or better yet, use something like KapChat and the Browser Source to show your chat on screen.
