Hi guys i finally bought a new PC after saving some money (i7 6700k GTX 1070). I decided to try to stream a little but when my friend was watching the stream he was saying that the stream is sometimes buffering. About 2 times in a minute for a few seconds.

Since iam not partnered by twitch and i dont have encoding options i stream at 2000 kbps. I have fibre optic internet which i get 100mbs up/ 100mbs down also I selected the right server to stream on by using (Twitch Bandwith test) So i really dont know if its a issue on my side or on his.

I will be linking images to my settings in OBS also posting a log file from last stream.
Thank you for your help/time and every comment is appreciated.

Based on that, guess what?
There's no other options.

The causes of the buffering are completely outside of your control as well as outside of the control of OBS.

Harold is certainly correct but we unfortunately have a ton of users asking every day why their stream buffers, the guide has all the explanation with options to try and with the explanation Harold just gave:

What can we do?
There is unfortunately no perfect cure for this. Let me make it clear once more: Unless you drop frames, the stream you send out arrived at the server of your provider. From this point it is between the provider and your viewers.

But we have a few options we can try:
  • Lower your bitrate (and if necessary resolution/framerate)
  • Try different servers of the same Provider (will probably not help)
  • Try a different Provider (might have a better balancing)
  • Accept that some viewers can encounter problems
  • Lower your bitrate (and if necessary resolution/framerate)
It can also depend on the time of day, or on the usage amounts of your Provider if your viewers can watch the stream fine on day A but not on day B.

Ahh ok then. Thanks for the reply. Also would you mind checking my log file it seems i get an unknown hook and its interfering. As for OS i am running Win 10 64bit.

Mhm, that could be another program running that shows an overlay over the game for example a fps counter or teamspeak/discord overlay maybe. As long as you can capture the game it should not be a problem and you can ignore the message.

Ok thank you. It seems that shadowplay was the issue. I checked the procces manager and closed out the program.
