Have you tried experimenting with the Microphone Noise Gate options as well? Those are perfect for getting rid of continuous low volume noises.

I am almost certain it's not a microphone issue as it still happens when I disable/disconnect the microphone.

Also I have not always had this noise.

First, I don't really hear much in that video. There is a very feint buzzing that sounds like interference over an audio cable, so perhaps there's an issue with your mic cable, but it seems pretty slight. OBS doesn't have any noise cancellation, so you will hear exactly what your mic is picking up, warts and all.

Also, you need to disable the "Use input device for desktop audio" checkbox. You are capturing your mic twice. There is no reason you should have enabled that option.

Unticked the "Use input device for desktop audio" checkbox and the buzzing is non-existant as you can hear here - http://www.twitch.tv/shadogear/b/508988091

MASSIVE thank you, been going crazy trying to sort this out, was close to dismantling my entire pc.

Wow, I really need to release a new version with that checkbox removed.
