Question / Help Add audio tracks into OBS?

Hello there.

I've been looking around to see if this is possible or not, but so far I've had no luck. So why not ask? :)
My question is; Is it possible in any way to add Audio files to OBS? For me as a d3 player, whenever I get a legendary or something funny happens I'd like a sound to play.

Nope. No support for that, or playing video directly from scenes (for intros/outros/bumps) yet. Most use a soundboard application with the ability to use global hotkeys if all they need are toast-sounds.

There is a plugin in development for video file sources, but not for audio. I second Ferret's suggestion of making a sound board.

For audio and vidio files..I just use programs. I finally got vlc video player to work the way I need it to. The method will require a second monitor in extended mode. I just play video commercials through VLC player..but set the capture to monitor capture...and select the monitor the program is running on...theres a reason to use monitor capture for vlc..now for audio files, I just use windows media player...like to play national Anthem recordings for my nascar Broadcasts. It will be much better when you can load this stuff directly..but it is a work around.

Advised to use window-capture instead of monitor capture if at all possible (to avoid the frame-lag that monitor cap tends to induce); works fine with Media Player Classic, haven't tried it with VLC.
