Great, works well on OBS.
Using file name it pops through on screen with the file name, removing the extension. Giving me a custom name to display.
The user interface is a bit clunky but works.
Run into 1 issue. When using on a nested scenes in OBS, the txt file would stop updating resulting in song name not being displayed. The music would play fine.
Updated to 1.4.1. I believe 1.4.0 was crashing OBS 25. Didn't seem to have any issues with 1.4.1 though.
Would be nice to have the progress bar and the cover disappear when spotify is paused. Cover used to work, but not any more for some reason.

I know about the cover issue, but I haven't gotten around to fix it
[Spotify]:

I don't understand why it always happens after updating the plugin or OBS that some images are simply not displayed correctly or are not enlarged at all. Without updating the plugin or OBS you can jump so much and fast through the titles without having the slightest problem with the cover. But as soon as you update the plugin or OBS, every now and then the plugin doesn't feel like displaying the cover properly.
Love this plugin, I really do. But I really hate that media control dock that was added recently. Mostly because I can't seem to find a way to not make it show again on startup every time.
I always have to go and manually turn it off from the docks menu every single time I start OBS.
I have no use for this dock at all, so it is really, really annoying.
Hope to adapt to Kugou Music, QQ Music, Netease Cloud Music, Kuwo Music, China really needs this plug-in
I'm having some issues with using VLC I did read this in the comments "Do you have any VLC sources added? It only works with VLC sources not with the actual VLC player" but I have no idea how or where I would put these sources, and whether or not a simply VLC playlist file suffices? great little addon though

You have to add a VLC Video source, which can load playlists or individual files.
I'll be the hipster but any chance you can get this to speak with Winamp?

Yeah, I'm that monster.

But I am getting constant crashes with OBS 25.0.8 in inputting anything with last.fm, having the program read a program (trying for Winamp, hence the asking for it above), and VLC player.

the latest release has some issues, but the previous one should work fine
Great plugin! But I have a problem using VLC.
The title and artist are displayed, but the cover art is not.
I also have VLC in the source.
Please help!

Do the files have covers embedded? You can check with https://www.mp3tag.de/en/index.html if the file doesn't have a cover it won't work.
Promising plugin apart from the fact that the Album Icon resizing each time a new song is playing and the delay updating info that bugs me.

Any suggestions or fixes I might not be aware of?

Setting the bounding box type of the image source will correctly resize the cover art. The delay is usually because Spotify limits the amount of requests that can be sent. Nothing I can do about that, you'll have to register your own Spotify app.
I'm having problems with using Spotify.
At first, I tried ignoring the client id and secret part because it wasn't on the instructions, but after successfully receiving the token and pressing the apply button, the acc was automatically logged out. When I then tried filling the client id and secret, the login page kept saying it was a invalid URL
I don't want to leave a 2 star because this program seems to be everything I'm looking for, The problem is I'm having issues with getting it set up. I've tried following the tutorials but it seems no matter what I try, my music player (using Windows but will be moving the Linux soon) is just not being recognized by Tuna. If I could get some further assistance with this it would be greatly appreciated!

What player are you using?
Upon following your two video tutorials, plus reading the top resulted comment that fixes this, the song title still refuses to appear as anything more than "%t" when using a VLC Media Source.. Cover art appears perfectly fine, anything else is a no-go.

The latest version uses different formatting, the title would be {title} instead of %t
I'm sorry to leave such a negative review but I feel like I'm going crazy - I have the exact version of YTMD that's linked in the notes, I've checked the box for the Tuna plugin and restarted, Tuna is running in OBS... but I cannot figure out what I'm expected to do next to actually make it work and anything I try seems to throw an error. Since there is zero documentation anywhere, I'm at a loss as to how I'm supposed to make it function... I'm sure this works great if it could be explained anywhere how to actually set it up or use it!

Did you follow these steps? ("Setting up the different music sources and displaying their information in OBS" > "Youtube Music")
1.Click on "Tools" at the top of the obs window
2.Select "Tuna settings"
3.Select "Web browser" as the music source
4.Make sure that "Host/receive infromation on local webserver with port:" is checked
5.Enable the tuna plugin in the youtube music application
Configuration options are nice, but the plugin frequently stops displaying Spotify info despite showing that the plugin is connected and running. Album art is also inconsistently sized when using Spotify. I originally thought these issues were due to a conflicting connection caused by using Elgato Streamdeck Spotify controls, but avoiding the use of these controls has not resolved the issue.
Hello universallp I have problems I can't see the file I created for the name of the music I can't enlarge it
I am leaving a 1 star rating because DEV didn't include instructions for spotify text file format. you wasted an hour of my morning assuming we're all IT pros
This is not working at all...
First off: My source is VLC but it is NOT a video and it is NOT local .mp3 files hat VLC is playing. It is a radiostreaming service!
Opening up VLCs Media Info UI, it is clearly showing both a "Title" and "Now Playing" correctly so the information is obviously there to be rabed by Tuna but within Tunas settings -> VLC - there is absolutely nothing showin up in the "Source" list even tho VLC is running and playing.
Selecting the scene where VLC is actually at, still does not allow me to pick a "Source" because there is nothing there no matter how many times I try refreshing it.

I am using Windows 11 Pro, OBS 29.1.3 and VLC 3.0.19. with a skin since everyone hates glaring white UI eements...

Is the source inside a group? That usually causes issues.
I can't make this sh*t to work. I already followed your steps, watched tutorials and nothing. This piece of cr*p isn't working. I tried to choose a source for the vcl and the only thing it says its "source or scene are no longer valid!", and it just doesn't let me anything as a source. What a piece of bull...
univrsal

I need a little more info than that. What does the scene setup look like? Are the sources nested in a group or a nested scene? Did you delete the vlc source?
