Love this program. My only issue is lately this plugin causes OBS to crash when I'm exiting the app. Uninstalling the plugin fixes the issue.

I rate this 5 stars because I feel that, otherwise, I would be ungrateful since this is a so much needed feature in OBS, and I can only but be absolutely thankful to Exeldro for providing it.

Still, I have a very annoying issue - I'm trying to conduct an interview with a guest (recording both sources, which are provided through vdo.ninja), and for some reason, the guest's video and audio get progressively out of sync (audio drifting). I suspect that the reason might be that I listen to the guest's audio through OBS output monitoring - not 100% sure but it's the only difference between their recording (which has audio drift) and mine (which doesn't).

Thanks for this plugin, I just wish there was some way to ensure audio/video are in sync, because this is not just a fixed delay, it keeps increasing throughout the video and is a pain to fix.

facing weird issue lately .. not sure if its only with 28.0.1 or all .. didnt test yet ..
when i enable source record eyeball to active it and start recording it stuck .. shows recording but not recording or making any output files .. and when i click stop record it stuck untill i end task totally .. but working well when i turn off source record filter .. any help ?

I like to use this amazing plugin, but in reality it is limitedly useful, because each grab have a lot of audible "cracks", and this never changes, despite of trying every possible configuration, even in the resetted config. (Meanwhile, the main Recording has no crack at all)

I would suggest:
- To heal this bug.
- to create an option "Record and break", and another "Record (no break)" because it keeps recording while the main recording is on pause... So the duration of the source recorded file is different and this is a big problem, it makes very difficult to edit!
- To create an option "Audio Only" (just to capture the original sound and minimize GPU use and Disk space.
Notice that my OBS has crashed by shutting down OBS after installation of the Plugin.

But the idea of this plugin ist really fantastic, and I encourage the author to make these revisions! thank you a lot for all the other plugins, especially Audio Monitor, my preferred Plugin!

Hello, I have been using this plugin for the better part of a year. It took a bit to get used to and actually get things optimized for the setup i'm running, but it works great. There were some issue at the start with obs crashes and it not recording properly but I've solve the problems. Make sure to not use on game capture, instead use on a group with a set resolution and with the game capture plus whatever other game sources you use. I do the same thing for my camera. This is an excellent way for me to upgrade my videos and how I make them.

It's a really great plugin. Thanks to this, when I record on two monitors, I can separate the video from both monitors and record them directly without a separate editing program.

hallo, this is a good plugin. if you guys find any issue like :
1. OBS crashes when close the app after installing this pluing = close the games first then close the OBS (in this case I've using source record in game capture)
2. when you can find hot key to activate replay buffer for source record = make sure to close the OBS, then launch the game, open the OBS and set game capture to capture the game u want to stream or record then close the game first and now the OBS, and launch the game again following OBS, then bind the hotkey for replay buffer of Source record.
3. if u facing encoder overload try to use HEVC encoder in source record to capture and let the H264 for stream.

Loving this plugin, VERY useful. Wanted to add that after doing some testing with 3 display captures & a webcam recording that I did manage to get Hardware NVENC H264 to work as long as I used Virtual Cam as the activator. Haven't tested with stream as the option but it does indeed fail if recording is the activating choice. I suspect the encoder doesn't want to share if OBS is also using it at the same time that the source recorder is. The performance and quality with hardware working is incredible. I barely hit 1-3% on the CPU. Amazing difference compared to other encoding options.

QUESTION, is it possible to DISABLE the recording of the audio track? I don't need it and I just choose to record no audio but I still get an empty audio track when replaying.

I like the plugin, but I miss an explanation of how to use the replay buffer. You can't set up a hotkey for it or anything else. Does anyone know how this works?

Fantastic Plugin!! Only missing two key features that would make this a must have for every OBS user wanting this type of functionality. The ability for the recordings to support multi track audio recording as well as the ability for the recordings and the replay buffer clips to be optionally auto remuxed to MP4 when recording in MKV these features would just add that cherry on top to an already incredibly useful plugin.

I have done it, I have finally managed to configure the camera separately from the PC, thank you very much!

Using it with multiple cameras, and it's like having the ISO recording feature of BlackMagic ATEM MINI PRO ISO, without any of the limitations or the hefty price tag.

Source-record is so amazing and fantastic! Thank you! I use it to capture a browser window displaying telemetry data from simulations like Gran Turismo 7, iRacing and ACC along with other source filters using source-record on a foot pedal cam and over the shoulder cam to see in the controller activities of a pilots race seat goings on and then the main display, A fair bit of recordings, but absolutely fantastic and makes for great quality streaming and recordings!

I have only one hope/request, that I have listed in the discussions here, for a marking/syncing across the source-records for easy editing time frame alignment.

This plugin is absolutely amazing. I'm using it to generate special recordings for my editors. This filter basically applied on a group that contains all the elements i want in large size next to each other with no background, also multi track audio! Super useful for editors without all my stream shenanigans covering things so they can make clean edits! It even lets you make chapter markers through a hotkey like vanilla obs but for each source record filter! Definitely taking advantage of all of this.

Just the plugin that I need! but i have a problem ...

When i install it, open obs, put the filter on a source, make some tests, check the output, ok, close the obs. When i try to open again, it won't load the scenes, just the basic UI. i can only use this by uninstalling e installing again everytime.

I got a second instance of OBS for my recordings, capturing the screen, this one are still open here without any error. And if i can open with the Second Scene Collection and Second Profile, it opens, load everything, but if change to the First Scene Collection, that have Source Recording in ONE Source, nope, it won't load, not a crash, but it's freezed.
I will use this plugin anyway with the Un/Re install method for now.

An absolutely fantastic plugin and by one of the absolute best developer/engineers ever. Excellent improvements and truly top notch. The plugin is so full of incredible features, it's just near perfect!

Works perfectly fine, and now with the new 0.3 update the Hotkey fuzzle for "Save Replay" is sorted out.
