obs-ndi - NewTek NDI™ integration into OBS Studio 4.13.0

Excellent changes!! thanks! I tested the PTZ control on our Neoid PTZ 4K camera and it didn't work, the image arrives great via NDI, but the plugin's PTZ controls don't work.

A great plug-in for sure. I use it with my S22 Ultra to use as a webcam for twitch. I was testing DroidCam for OBS with USB and its an excellent program as well EXCEPT for the resolution. So I ask on discord for advice on a high quality alternative to get the most out of my high res phone camera and I'm sent here. Boom. $20 to test it out but im satisfied.

My only issues so far is it makes my phone run very hot. No screen dimming that DroidCam has. No remote either that I saw.

Maybe I should post this on the Play Store as well. Not sure who's developing what and where I should post suggestions.

Absolutely brilliant. Between the windows 10 computers and up to date OBS studio versions. I ran the install (First time I look at this). Looked in tools to find the NDI settings.

Then went to my other computer and at this point only it started to dawn on me what this was for. Added a NDI video source and Boom! The NDI broadcast names were there and it all just works.

With this plugin the sky is the limit. Who needs a TV studio. We got OBS Studio. Can't believe this software is free.

the plugin is great but when I update to OBS 28 the Mevo camera audio sounds robotic

Love the plugin, but 4.6.2 still does not fix the issue in which it was patched for. I still cannot select a NDI as a source in OBS. I have to rollback to 4.6.0 which is now crashing from time to time.

Really wish it would let me set the setting per profile. I have a streaming profile and a youtube profile. I need it off for youtube and on for streaming.

this is unfortunate... I echo Habster81's thoughts, this is a huge minus for OBS Studio :-/

from what i can see this is only for outgoing. with vmix, for example, NDI resources can also be used as an input. or am i missing something?

NDI plugin stop working with Sienna NDICam v6 - support NDI 5. Version v5.1 on iPad still working. NDI Source selection not displaying v6 stream from iPhone.

Works quite well on Windows, as far as the time is synchronous on all systems (difference <1 sec!).
With Linux, unfortunately, it does not work very well. Picture and sound freezes every 2 seconds.
A fixed LAN connection is required, WLAN should not be used.

This plug-in is super easy to setup and use and having NDI support in OBS to get around clunky capture card setups for two PC streaming is fantastic.

However, I've had major issues with being unable to hold consistent 60fps via NDI, even with machines well beyond what's required and a solid gigabit network. My main PC also has to be frequently restarted because after every stream, game audio goes out of sync when using the NDI plug-in. The only way to fix it is to restart.

While I do appreciate this is a free plug-in being made by a hobbyist, support for this is also virtually non-existent (though in keeping with the general OBS support experience.) The author only responds to a handful of support threads and if you have any problems with this at all, expect to be left to figure it out yourself.

I still use this plug-in (especially since the alternative is XSplit which just, no) but it still needs a lot of refinement.

As soon as I install it in obs 28.2.1 and obs 29 the program doesn't open anymore

Unable to get working with Winndows 7. OBS Launches without it, however ever time I install this NDI plug on Windows 7, it crashes the program before it can full open.

Have tried (more than once) get assistance (as have others) but still no reply.

it seems like a good application though has serious stuttering issues.

v4.11 crashing OBS 29 randomly 5 to 15 minutes whether streaming or not...

I was streaming with same settings for a year, then my 2nd PC broke and yesterday i fixed it, when i launch NDI scan converter ping increase to 300, when i turn it off it go back to normal, anyone have same problem? I was contacting my internet provider and thinking its beucase of them but today i figured out its caused by NDI, video proof down there..
