Advanced Scene Switcher 1.25.4

While the Advanced Scene Switcher occasionally breaks down, I've seen bugs get worked out with updated patches. My favorite feature is the SceneSequence tab.

This effectively allows the operator to create macros for timed transitions. That may sound like a simple thing, but it saves loads of time and circumvents user error for pre-timed things like commercial breaks and rapid-fire round trips across multiple scenes.

Would LOVE to see this gain official support and supplant the default Scene Switcher.
This is a really well done plugin, and I am now reliant on this plugin for switching my scenes upon media states (it even allows switching depending on remaining time, which is great for media sources as you won't have to see the video go black). The macros are also really powerful, allowing you to execute a sequence of actions.
First of all, great plugin!
However I wish it could have:
- some basic help;
- in the Time tab: be able to change/edit and save the hour and a way to reorder the scenes instead of deleting and re-entering them.
- in the Sequence tab: be able to select between seconds, minutes or even hours instead of just seconds and be able to re-order the scenes instead of deleting and re-entering them.
Also, I would like a way to re-order the tabs. I know that this is not a priority, but for me it would be much easier to have Time and Sequence tabs before Transition.
Do you think that it's possible to have this in the next version?

Thank you!
Es el mejor complemento de obs, no imagino obs sin este complemento sinceramente te hace la vida muchísimo más fácil y por otra parte es super adictivo. El programador siempre predispuesto a ayudarte lo que lo hace aún mejor todavía. Felicitaciones. Un trabajo asombroso
excelent version warmuptill
Love this plugin, such a vast array of functionality and I have barely scratched the surface. Is there a WIKI or FAQ somewhere? I have an issue I''m not sure how to break out of a looping set of scenes when I manually change to a new scene the macro keeps running... I know it's probably a simple thing I need to change but I haven't figured it out as of yet. :)

Glad you are enjoying the plugin!

There is a wiki:
https://github.com/WarmUpTill/SceneSwitcher/wiki

But as it mostly covers the basics and a few examples it is usually best to simply ask in the discussion thread if you have questions :)
Tool itself works great, I have noticed an issue where a resource intensive game *Half Life Alyx for instance* will cause it to not properly switch back to a scene as specified in scene sequences. My friends has a lesser machine and runs into this issue more often, so limiting the amount of scenes seems to be the fix. This has given me the ability to have easier scene changes to highlight interaction or gaming moments to my viewers and have seen massive positive growth since using. Please keep working on and don't let this plugin get outdated. It's a god send.
Amazing plug-in!

thank you for making this

The way I use OBS, I program in several scene customizations using scene/source filters activated by function keys (F13, F14, etc) when I switch scenes via Touch Portal.

Would it be possible to also program into this plug-in, customizable virtual function key presses with specific scene switches?

thank you very much

I will add it to the to-do list, but I am not sure when I will get around to looking into it.
Thank you for the suggestion!
I've been using this for years to control my scene changes by custom scripts.
In my previous review I had some feedback to be improved. Still gave it 5 stars.

All of those improvements has happened. I would rate this 10/5.

This plugin shouldn't be 'advanced scene switcher', it does SO much more. Almost anything you'd want to automate, this can do it.

This plugin is currently my #1 plugin for OBS, and provides features that in the future hopefully will be default to OBS.

Can only recommend.
Is there a way to make it work on slobs or that's impossible?

Last time I checked the plugin was incompatible with SLOBS, unfortunately.
Really great plugin and smart developer!
It's hard to comprehend how many possibilities and combinations of uses we get with this development.
Thanks a lot!!!
This plug-in saves me so much effort (and stress) during a live stream, and @Warmuptill has been super-responsive. I've been saved by having the new Media tab (initially buggy but fixed super fast... and exactly what I want/need). Recent improvements (ex saving of settings) are really nice refinements / maturing of this impressive and immensely useful tool. And I'm looking forward to some of the upcoming updates
Great resource and seems to work very well. However, is there any way to pause the scene switcher when the takbar is focused in the same way as you can do with Task Switching (alt-tab) and OBS? Also, it would be nice if the description at the bottom of the window title tab could also be on the bottom of the pause tab scince the same tags seem to work on each.
Sugestion: Change audio source delay when change a scene

Warmuptill
I believe this should already be possible, if I am understanding correctly what you are trying to do.
You can use the "Scene" condition to check for the scene change and use the "Audio" action to set the "Sync offset" the desired value.

If that is not what you were looking for or you need support in setting this up, feel free to reach out in the plugin's discussion thread! :)
I can't imagine working in obs without this plugin! It makes everything 1000x easier, Thank you so much for your work on this!
Essential plugin
It was good even before the last update. But the added macros are amazing. I no longer have to think about ending the stream when the ending song finishes. I no longer have to think about launching any program when I start the stream.
Imho this plugin should be more popular.
On macOS OSX is not working on OBS 26.0.2, however it works in 26.1.2.

Warmuptill
OBS is shipped with certain versions of libraries the plugin depends on.
The version of these libraries was changed from OBS 26.0 to OBS 26.1 and I chose to support the newer versions of OBS.

I could of course always build two version of the plugin but this would probably cause too much confusion.

In general I hope that the problem resolves itself over time as people slowly migrate to more recent versions of OBS on macOS.
But if you have suggestions on how to handle this situation better I am all ears :)

Unfortunately the plugin overview page also does not let me select OBS 26.1 as the minimum supported version, as only changes in major version seem to be supported. (So OBS 25, OBS 26, ...)
Plugin working less and less well through the updates, I don't know why but now it takes a long time (up to 15sec) to detect a change from a file (even if the "check delay" is still at 300ms)
